Tribes is fun, we all know this. So why not play it more often? Sadly yes, most of the good mods have died off and we are left with the good original version, "base" and Annihilation.

Base is excellent if you are interested in having a quick basic capture the flag or "LT" style gameplay. Most of the maps consist nothing more than terrain and a few buildings. Your spawn armor is light, your weapons are Chaingun, Disc Launcher and Grenade Launcher, you have a flag, your enemy has a flag. The rest is up to you.

Annihilation on the other hand is a complete other world. It's like day and night in the same game. Anni has changed a lot since Crow has become the main mod (other than the original creater plasmatic). With the Anni 5.0b Legends update, Tribes is more "newbie" friendly, but still competitive when you have someone with a faster trigger finger. If you don't know the mod, connect to the BR Annihilation Server. You have several armors, lots of weapons and deployables to chose from. From defence to random objects. From Tanks to Planes.
